How YTProud Escrow Works — Payment Protection for Social Media Account Transfers
When you buy a social media account from a stranger, two things can go wrong: you pay and never receive access, or you receive something different from what was described. YTProud's escrow system addresses both. Your payment is held by our team — not sent to the seller — until you have confirmed that the account was delivered as listed. How the Escrow Process Works
Steps differ by platform. YouTube is shown first because it includes YouTube Studio's mandatory 7-day manager security window before primary ownership can change. Use the tabs for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, or Telegram — the escrow structure is the same (funds held until verified handover), but credential and admin steps differ.

Buyer funds escrow.
You pay the agreed amount plus the escrow service fee. Funds are held by YTProud — the seller receives nothing at this stage. Escrow fee applies (minimum $3).

7-day security window
Primary ownership is assigned to the YTProud escrow agent.
After the security window, the seller assigns primary ownership to our agent. Our team then removes other managers and secures the channel.
Our agent transfers primary ownership to the buyer.
Handover is complete when the buyer confirms access.
Funds are released to the seller.
Once buyer confirmation is received, funds are released from escrow to the seller.
YouTube only: the 7-day manager window above is required by YouTube before primary ownership can move. On all other tabs, there is no equivalent waiting period — funds are typically released when the buyer confirms access, or automatically after 24–48 hours if we do not receive a timely confirmation, unless your written deal terms say otherwise.
Accepted payments
Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Wise, and Bitcoin where enabled. Card payments run through Stripe and other configured providers; cardholder data is handled within those providers' PCI DSS programmes. YTProud does not hold PCI-DSS Level 1 certification and does not store full card numbers on our infrastructure.
Escrow Fee Structure
The escrow fee applies to the buyer and pays for our team's management of the full handover. It is calculated as a percentage of the transaction value, with a minimum fee of $3.00 regardless of deal size (exact minimum follows your live platform settings).
What the fee covers: listing review and verification before sale; the managed handover session (credential transfer, shadow-manager audit, 2FA reset, and payout disconnect verification where applicable); dispute mediation if a dispute is raised within the dispute window; and the audit trail kept for the session.

What We Check Before We
Release Funds
Our agents run the same structured checks before any payout. Funds stay in escrow until the items below are satisfied for your asset and platform.
Original Email (OGE) Verification
P·4.1The original email linked to the account is the main recovery path on most platforms. We verify the seller hands over the real original inbox — not a forwarder or alias — and review association history so it matches the account's recovery contact. Without genuine OGE, a seller can sometimes recover the asset after transfer; this check is designed to prevent that outcome.
2FA and Recovery Reset
P·4.2During a live-managed session, our agents update the phone number, authenticator app, and backup codes on the account to the buyer's details. That way the seller's old 2FA paths cannot be used to regain access after handover. Changes are logged with timestamps.
Shadow Manager Audit
P·4.3Extra manager roles, third-party apps, and connected services can keep access after a password change. We review every manager role and connected app, remove anything that was not disclosed in the listing, and confirm the buyer ends up with sole operational control.
Ownership Verification
P·4.4Where a platform defines ownership formally — YouTube's 7-day manager rule is the clearest example — we confirm the transfer follows that protocol so the buyer holds full control under the platform's rules, not only password access.
Monetisation and Payout Disconnect
P·4.5For monetized accounts, we verify the seller's payout methods (for example AdSense, TikTok Creator Rewards, or similar) are fully disconnected before we treat the handover as complete, so post-handover revenue does not keep routing to the seller.

THE PROCESS?
Timelines depend on the platform, the asset, and how quickly both sides complete each step. YouTube channel transfers always include Google's mandatory 7-day manager window, which sets the floor for that workflow.
On other platforms, funds are generally released when the buyer confirms access, or automatically after 24–48 hours if we do not receive a timely confirmation — see the process tab for your platform.

When can I raise a dispute?
You must notify YTProud of any issue within a few hours of delivery confirmation and before you change account credentials (password, email, phone, or 2FA). Once you change those credentials, the dispute window closes, because those changes make it impractical to reconstruct the pre-handover state of the account.
What qualifies for a dispute?
The account does not match the listing description, access was not delivered, or the account has active violations that were not disclosed. Cases are reviewed against the listing text and the handover session record.
What does not qualify?
Follower drops, engagement changes, or algorithm shifts that happen after you have confirmed access and changed credentials are not covered. Escrow is for delivery and misrepresentation risk, not post-acquisition performance.
Typical dispute resolution: Disputes are resolved within 3 business days on average, based on our internal operations data.
